American Oak - Light & Dark Medley

Like French oak, American oak contributes aromas, flavour, and tannins to wine. American oak chips are punchier and bigger than French oak. You tend to get more intense flavours. We like to blend both American and French oak in our wines!

This is a 50/50 blend of the light and heavy toasted american oak chips. We love to use blends like this as it simulates the flavours you would get out of an oak barrel.
