French Oak Chips are made from new oak wood of cooperage quality, containing neither bark nor sapwood. These oak chips have been known to help stabilize color and improve wine structure while adding more softness and roundness to the wine. They can develop vanilla, coffee and toast aromas.
This is a 50/50 blend of the Regular oak and the Heavy Toasted style of oak chips that brigns the taste of raw fresh wood like a new barrel and the vanilla, chocolate and smokiness from the Heavy Toasted.
